2026 GRANTEES $180,000 Focus: Addressing the Needs of Abused and/or Neglected Children in Collier and Lee counties
- A.N.A.’s Friends (Collier and Lee Counties): $15,000 for their Children’s Needs program which sponsors Heartfelt Hangouts events to bring foster children together for shared activities and outings in a safe and structured setting.
- Better Together (Collier and Lee Counties): $25,000 for their Better Families program which stabilizes families in crisis by connecting them with host families and mentors.
- Collier Children’s Advocacy Center (Collier County): $20,000 for their Enhancing Therapy for Child Victims of Sexual Abuse project to strengthen and expand therapy and offer advanced trauma-informed training.
- CAC-Children’s Advocacy Center of SWFL (Lee County): $25,000 to sustain CAC’s four Family and Child Prevention programs: Pine Manor After School & Summer Programs; Level Up! Dad's Fatherhood Initiative; East United Way Resiliency Hub; Parenting Education and Reunification Support.
- Fostering Success (Collier and Lee Counties): $25,000 for their Academic Mentoring program to offer free tutoring to foster youth.
- Path2 Freedom (Collier and Lee Counties): $25,000 to enhance neurological and spiritual healing for child survivors of human sex trafficking by providing safe housing and therapeutic support.
- Project BUILD (Collier and Lee Counties) $25,000 for their Pathway to Freedom program that is a workforce development and mentoring initiative for foster youth and women survivors of domestic violence.
- Youth Haven (Collier and Lee Counties): $20,000 for their new Independent Living Mentor Program offering age-appropriate individualized goal-setting and skill building activities for all residents ages 6-21.
2025 GRANTEES $154,000 Focus: Supporting Seniors
- The Baker Senior Center Naples: $15,000 The grant funds their Food Security for Older Adult Women Program.
- The Community Cooperative: $20,000 The grant funds their Senior Women Wellness Project to support and expand their supplemental delivery service of groceries to low income, disadvantaged senior women, ensuring adequate nutrition.
- Collier Senior Center: $20,000 The grant to the Seniors Mental Wellness Program will expand the social services they offer to address depression, loneliness, and isolation.
- Dr. Piper Center for Social Services: $20,000 The grant supports their Senior Companion and Foster Grandparent Mileage and Stipend Support programs. Volunteers provide companionship and transportation to low-income seniors.
- The Dubin Center: $25,000 This grant to their Supporting Seniors with Dementia and their Family Caregivers Program provides a comprehensive support system for the family caregivers of those living with dementia and Alzheimer’s.
- Legal Aid Service of Collier County: $20,000 This grant funds their Senior Women Legal Project for attorneys and staff who run Legal Aid’s Senior Women’s Initiative, helping senior women facing eviction and homelessness, etc.
- Senior Friendship Center: $14,000 This grant funds their Friendship at Home Program to support crisis intervention services, home visits, telephone reassurance and emergency food assistance to homebound senior women.
- St. Matthew’s House: $20,000 The grant to their Senior Homelessness Program helps fund the expenses – food, shelter, clothing, transportation, hygiene, medical needs, case management- of homeless senior women.
2024 GRANTEES $125,000 Focus: Support for Children's Health and Well-being
- Children's Advocacy Center of SWFL: $15,000 For their Pine Manor After School and Summer Program. Funds will be used for on-site enrichment activities and for six field trips for children.
- Fostering Success: $20,000 Funds will be used for assessing foster children and for paying their mentors’ stipends.
- Guadalupe Center: $20,000 Funds will be used to expand the training of the teaching staff and for the wages of the behavioral health specialist who currently serves five locations in Immokalee. Ideally an additional specialist can be hired.
- Lee Health Kids' Minds Matter: $20,000 Funds will be used to support and expand their Mental Health Navigator program and thereby increase access to care and decrease the need for pediatric psychiatric hospitalizations.
- Gargiulo Education Center: $25,000 Funds will be used to pay part of the salary of the licensed clinical mental health specialist who oversees implementation of the year-round S.M.A.R.T. Program (Serenity, Meditation, Awareness, Respect and Trust) offered at no cost to students from K-12 grade whose families work in the agricultural field in North Naples.
- Fun Time Early Childhood Academy: $25,000 To implement the Conscious Discipline Program, a nationally recognized, research-based technique that promotes a nurturing and emotionally supportive learning environment for children.
2023 GRANTEES $108, 000 Focus: Hurricane Ian Relief Efforts
- Legal Aid Collier County: $15,000 To meet increased demand, provide general funding for free legal aid to low-income individuals/families.
- National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Collier County: $20,000 To support extended hours at its Sarah Ann Drop-In Center, where clients receive practical assistance and participate in support groups
- Collier Resource Center: $15,000 To support increased needs because of Hurricane Ian, such as housing, FEMA applications, medical assistance and more.
- River Park Community/NAACP of Collier County: $8,000 To support Hurricane Ian relief, recovery and home rebuilding efforts in the River Park community
- Bonita Springs Assistance Office: $15,000 To provide food and financial services to survivors of Hurricane Ian, with plans to expand their services to include mental health services, money management programs and WIC
- Lee County Legal Aid Society: $20,000 To provide general funding for increased needs to provide free legal aid for low-income residents in navigating FEMA and insurance claims process as well as home and business rebuild strategies, including increased outreach efforts.
- Cafe of Life, Inc.: $15,000 To fund the increased need to support clients with food, rent, utilities and medical/prescription costs.
2022 GRANTEES $109,000 Focus: At-risk Teenage and Young Adult Women
- Abuse Counseling and Treatment, Inc.: $20,000 To increase the number of victims and survivors served in the Counseling and Therapy program
- Alliance for Period Supplies of SWFL: $29,000 To purchase period supplies for those in need
- Dress for Success of SWFL: $10,000 To help fund a program coordinator and a program facilitator who oversee all 4 programs, the presenters, coaches and mentors plus educational materials, program space, Uber or bus passes, meals, and graduation.
- Our Mother’s Home of Southwest Florida: $15,000 To purchase a used car to transport the young mothers and their children to medical appointments, the hospital, school pickup and outings.
- Pace Center for Girls, Collier at Immokalee: $15,000 Funds for the Pace Life Coaching and Healthy Transitions Program to bolster support to girls who have moved into their first year of transition services after leaving Pace.
- Project HELP, Inc.: $20,000 Funds to purchase supplies used during therapy sessions, to support the healing process and to acquire an ADA forensic bed to ensure victims receive a forensic exam. Plus, transportation to and from court, to provide shelter if adequate and safe housing if unavailable at the local shelter and to offer a language line service for clients not fluent in English.
